Elizabeth and Streak - Elizabeth Batt

Elizabeth is a former large animal nurse from the UK now certified with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

She has lived in the USA for 14-years. As a teen, Elizabeth delighted in Leicestershire's theatre circuit, appearing in Joseph at The Haymarket Theatre and Peter Pan at The Little Theatre, whose esteemed patron is, Sir Richard Attenborough. A member of the Leicester Children's Choir, she was fortunate enough to tour the country on several occasions. Elizabeth graduated in psychology and sociology along with a Royal School of Music Examination in clarinet.

Elizabeth shares her life with her husband, three children and a plethora of animals on their ranch in NW Montana. Elizabeth's passion for horses began as soon as she could walk; she became an animal nurse for large animals at John Barnes Veterinary Services in the UK. She's been involved with working/training horses for over 20-years and enjoys both English and Western riding. She has been fortunate enough to have received the opportunity to work alongside some premier trainers.

Elizabeth has many diverse passions including wildlife preservation and conservation. She is a regular contributor to Ric O'Barry's, Save Japan Dolphins and a member of the remarkable Earth Island Institute. She is also active in bat preservation, an area often overlooked in conservation. Raised with, (not by) German Shepherds, the love of her life is her GSD, Excalibur Von Lietz, otherwise known as KC. Published in non-fiction and poetry, her other interests include reading, writing, and of course, emergency medicine.
